A lifelong sailor, Capt. Owen C. Jones is a United States Coast Guard licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer and a Boatmaster License Grade 1 in the British Virgin and certified for 1995 Standards for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping. He is also a certified sailing instructor for the American Sailing Association.
Both Captain Owen and Chef Mary had long dreamed of opening a restaurant or bed and breakfast. Sailing had always been a part of their lives. Mary and Owen had always had an underlying desire of a more extensive sea life and people interaction that a chartering business would bring. In 2005, Mary and Owen decided to live their dream while combining it with their lifelong passion for sailing. The result was the start of a “boat and breakfast”…lunch and dinner…this opening up an entire new world of fun and excitement for them both sailing the Caribbean from Puerto Rico to Venezuela.

We had a wonderful time sailing the Virgin Islands with you two...cooking was great and we saw a lot of fun things. We wish you all the best ands are jealous that you get to live in this beautiful place 8/12 months!
Owen was a great sailing instructor, coach and mentor...patient and trusting. He built my confidence! Thanks, Owen!
